KOTA KINABALU, April 20 (Bernama) -- Takaful Ikhlas Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Bhd, is aiming for an income of RM1 million from the launch of its new personal accident(PA)product, Ikhlas PA Permata Takaful, for the financial year 2012-2013.

The product was launched by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak here today in conjunction with the Minggu Amanah Saham Malaysia 2012.

President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman said in a statement that the company hoped the plan would become the premier PA product to be marketed through the existing channels.

"We also hope, it will contribute towards achieving the RM38 million total overall contribution of the company's PA plan for the same financial year.

"This plan is a value-added product to the existing PA plan and has a number of additional protection benefits," he added.

Ikhlas PA Permata Takaful is also an innovative product which provides a comprehensive Takaful-based accident protection for the benefit of customers who own one.

The plan is open to those from the ages of 18-60 and the coverage is for one year.

Syed Moheeb said Takaful Ikhlas always emphasised customer satisfaction and had won a number of awards for its products offered since becoming operational in 2003.

He said to date, Takaful Ikhlas had offered general and comprehensive family products, with more than 1.8 million registered policy holders.
